1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as browser storage, work in the same way. In this policy, "cookies" covers both.

2. Only Strictly Necessary Cookies

MyClinicBooking only uses cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for or to remember a choice you made. We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of your browsing.

Under EU and Maltese law, strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent, which is why we do not show a cookie banner. If we ever add other cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

3. Cookies We Set

Sign-in and security

• authjs.session-token: keeps you signed in. Deleted when you sign out or when the session expires.
• authjs.csrf-token: protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Deleted when you close the browser.
• authjs.callback-url, authjs.state and authjs.pkce.code_verifier: used only during sign-in to return you to the right page and to secure sign-in with Google. Deleted when you close the browser or within minutes.

On the live site, some of these names start with "__Secure-" or "__Host-", which tells the browser to send them over encrypted connections only.

Your preferences

• NEXT_LOCALE: remembers the language you chose (English or Maltese). Kept for 1 year.
• sidebar-collapsed: remembers whether you collapsed the side menu. Kept for 1 year.

4. Cookies Set by Our Service Providers

• Stripe: on pages where you can save a card or pay, and in the booking widget, Stripe sets cookies such as __stripe_mid (1 year) and __stripe_sid (30 minutes) to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. See stripe.com/privacy.
• Google: when you sign in with Google, Google’s own cookies apply on Google’s sign-in pages. When you open the map, the map is loaded from Google, which receives your IP address to deliver it. See policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Managing Cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies above, you will not be able to sign in, book appointments or pay, and your language choice will not be remembered.
